our roots

We love Jesus. We love people. Our passion is connecting people with Jesus through worship and by cultivating habits of the heart and mind.

Following the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, many responded to God’s call to help rebuild a city. St. Luke grew out of that calling and soon became a place of respite and renewal for those engaging in recovery efforts in New Orleans East, Gentilly, St. Roch and the Ninth Ward. In the years since, a rich community of faith, hope and love has taken root. Believing we are better together, St. Luke welcomed New Orleans East Assembly of God and 504 Fellowship as each church unanimously voted to join with St. Luke. Today, our faith community is home to a diverse gathering of believers from all walks of life across the Greater New Orleans region.
